I have good reasons!

okay so I know I always give you guys a hard time when you go for a long time without posting and then here I stand, my head hung in shame because I know it's been a VERY long time since I posted anything new! But I really do have a few good excuses. First of all, Danny has been working a lot lately meaning sometimes gone 4 days a week and that makes things a little crazy, Second, softball season started and so I have been going to practices two nights a week. Third I started working two days a week at my brother in laws dental office (mon and tues when Danny is home). Fourth we have all been sick for about 2 weeks now, starting with Danny getting Pneumonia and then the flu/cough/cold stuff going through everyone except Kaden, and Lastly we are going to utah in less than a week and I have been trying to get things organized and packed for our trip! So .... those are pretty good excuses right? Anyways sorry I have been MIA but we are all better now and I promise to do better!

The kids are most excited about the snacks that they have seen me pack for the trip - hey whatever keeps them happy!

I'm pretty sure there has never been a time in my life that I stood on the scale and had this kind of reaction!
Maybe more like this one:

The renovation starts right now...

Amanda making good use of the time!
Danny and Kyle hard at work

What a good brother.

the clampits at their finest!

The clampits

Our neighbor miss June always jokes that she is going to start calling us the Clampits because with all of the projects that we do on the house there is always something out front waiting to be taken to the dump. We (okay Kyle) just remodled the bathroom and I just love it! Now I just have to finish painting and get the top trim up. Man I love having a handyman and free labor! What a good brother. He and Danny worked until midnight and Amanda and I kept the kiddos busy until bedtime. What can I say...we are all about the class! ps I have a ton more pictures of this event but my computer won't let me upload them to blogger. Let's just say I am "very frusterated" with the stupid computer right now.

ok Ladies!

So I have decided that we have all fallen into the rut of not blogging unless we have pictures to post- or at least I have. And I have also decided that that is silly! I love hearing what everyone is doing and how life is going for all of you. So I say BLOG ON LADIES! Pictures are fabulous, but I don't think that lack of cute photos for the day should keep us from communicating! So here it goes - I guess the worst that could happen is nobody reads it and then...who cares right?

Today Danny left for work and the kids and I went to the gym. I have been trying to get there daily but sometimes the kids make that a little more trying - especially the smallest one because she likes to scream the whole time! But the more I take her the better it gets. I have been totally slacking though so I have gained a million (ok more like 12) pounds back! Dangit I hate when that happens! Anyways, I was able to do two miles on the treadmill. Sidenote: is it odd that I run to Kenny Rogers "what are we doin' in love?" - I think its because the beat goes with my pace...sssshh don't tell anyone!

I have decided that I am going to do my first 5K run in April in burlington - the tulip run - as it were! Wish me luck, this should be interesting.

Catching up.

Okay so it has been a pretty sad week around here in some ways. We had two funerals for members of our ward and one of them was a friend of mine that I served in primary with. I hate funerals, but it was a beautiful tribute to her. I was a mess as I listened to her children speak and thought of my own kids. Her husband is the sweetest man and you could always tell that they were best friends. When she got sick, he just took such good care of her. Right down to running her errands dropping off baby gifts at showers, and thank you notes that she wanted to get out to people to thank them for all of their help! She was an amazing example. It really made me grateful for my family. So with that, here are a few snapshots from our life this week, and some shots of my favorite people in the whole wide world!
The boys were scoping out prime realestate to "build" me a garden!Uncle Dustin - I mean Parker getting a little frusterated with the tractor.Brin was so happy when Danny got home she ran with the boys out the front door to greet him!The ultimate "excuse me ... I got dirty!" face.bbf : best brothers forever of course.Kaden on his hot rod!
