I must be crazy

So here is what I am obsessing about lately! I have decided that it is time to start feeling like a healthy person again – I mean I had a good 7 year break right?  So I decided to sign up for this: Seattle rock’n’roll marathon!!!!

I know – I’m completely and certifiably insane but I know I can do it.  And I have recruited some friends to come along so that helps! What great friends I have!  Anyways stay tuned I’m sure there will be plenty of horrible painful updates to come!

What Santa brought us

So everyone keeps asking what Santa brought Danny and I, and I keep forgetting to mention that we did get presents they just came in November! We both received an iphone and have been enjoying the heck out of them! Here are some photos I’ve taken with mine.

I thought this was so sweet!  My Grandpa holding sweet baby kendall Jane on Christmas eve.

Santa was good to us

OK so I think that the other font was maybe a little hard to read.  Sorry about that.  Santa came to our house (albeit a day early) and we have some very happy kiddos.  Here is the rundown.

Parker has been asking for a guitar of his own since he started learning to play with Danny.  I was reluctant thinking he was too young and knowing the destructive nature of my boys – also thinking that it would be destroyed in two seconds but Danny promised me that it would be fine.  He pretty much has not put it down since he opened it and I am racking in tons of blessings in Heaven for “enjoying” the non stop strumming!

Kaden asked Santa for a GeoTrax this year and he is loving it – although this being our first experience with GeoTrax, and not knowing that once put together – some parts are not to be taken apart… a little superglue and we’re doing alright!  Some more blessings in heaven as I watch my sweet son and listen to the lovely sound of an airplane getting stuck on a plastic track..clicking away…clicking away.

Brinlee requested Printheth gear if you will. We have been pretty short on girlie stuff around here until recently and she really really loves thinderella now so she received a trunk full of beautiful gowns and jewelry…hilarious!

All in all I think it was a good Christmas at our house and it has been a crazy fun couple of months with all of the traveling we have done. I am savoring the years that we will have children who are happy with small and simple gifts.  I know they are probably fleeting! Merry Christmas.

While they were napping!

Merry Christmas (Eve) everyone!  Today was our Christmas and it is going well.  Because we started at 5:45 am a nap was definitely in order and while they were napping, I finally made a decision on my web site layout for Sarah e Photography! So stay tuned…exciting things are happening!

And to all a good night!

So tonight is our Christmas Eve because Danny will be working for the next four days.  At first I was heartbroken because originally he was supposed to be home for Christmas Eve, but alas – here we are.  After being an upset brat yesterday and trying really hard not to HATE the holiday’s GUTS… I realized something.  I have so many blessings and it really doesn’t matter what day it is as long as you are together celebrating! So today we played in the snow at Aunt Crystal’s house and we made bear claws and cookies, we watched Rudolph and the misfit toys (a must!) and we got in our nice warm Christmas jammies and went for a drive to look at lights! It was awesome and I am so glad that we had today.  So here are the kiddos all kinds of excited because Mom called Santa and he said he would stop by our house a little early so that we could have a Christmas morning with Dad.  What a guy! The gifts are out the stockings are hung and I am going to go put some bear claws in the oven and snuggle on the couch with my truly fabulous Husband. Merry Christmas!

Man of the hour (s)

Here he is…in the flesh…the man of my dreams…or more like the little boy who has been occupying my nightmares lately! The one who I’ve spent “hours” worrying about! Parker has, as I mentioned in previous posts, been testing the sassy mouth waters lately as well as the door slamming and attitude waters! I know- he’s a real go getter!  So today I took him outside and we took some pictures just him and I and while we did that I remembered that he is hilarious, cute, sweet, smart, and one of my very favorite kiddos in the world (I happen to have 3!) So I guess I’ll take the sass with the sweet – because after all what is life or parenthood for that matter, without a little spice! I love you Parker boy.

Catching up

So Parker and I have gone a couple of rounds the last week.  I have been wondering where my sweet little boy went.  Lately he has become a twenty year old with a super sassy mouth (which by the way his mother is not particularly fond of)  So I started going through old pictures to remind me of how cute he was so that I could remind myself that “this too shall pass” and suppress the urge to strangle him. (full blown narrative of sassy conversation to come at a later date.)

Aunt Thar

This is the name by which I am known to all small ones in this family! Pretty much YaYa and Ry.  Aunt Thar…Aunt THAR…I love it.  The older kiddos can say Aunt Sar now – so I love that the littles still can’t!  And I have a feeling Ry is going to stay little for a very long time….maybe the speech will stay too? An  Aunt can hope!

Snow days rock!

So I am trying to do this backdrop now so that I can put more pictures at once.  We had a snow party at moms yesterday – I stayed inside and held babies.  I love all of the bright red cheeks and snot running down faces.  It was so blasted cold the boys had all of their hunting gear on.  Dustin and Danny even let me get a few shots of the getups!

my new best friend

Okay so I have never been a big "let the dog sit on the furniture, bed or any other piece of furniture" type of person. And I have always had issues with "dog smell" and shedding and you name it. But I have always loved dogs. Gunner is just the best - granted we've only had him for a week and a half, but he is my new best friend. Danny is even bugged because usually it's his dog, but not gunner, he sleeps on my feet at night and lays on my lap to watch tv before bed. With Danny being gone and me being alone so much - not to mention the whole insomnia thing because I'm such a weenie, it's so nice to feel safe and protected.
